THE Cohuna Kangas will be out to break a four-year losing streak tomorrow in the only Central Murray Football Netball League to occur south of Swan Hill.
The Kangas take on the winless Tooleybuc/Manangatang and are best placed to record the club's first win against the Saints since 2013.
Although Scott Beattie's side has lost its past three games, the Kangas boast a much stronger team than last season's elimination finalists.
The Saints have lost their past eight games, with the two-point loss to Lake Boga in round seven the closest Lachie Gleeson has come to recording his first win as coach with the club.
A win tomorrow would see the Kangas jump to fourth on the ladder, whilst a loss could see the competition's southernmost side fall to sixth if Nyah-Nyah West United defeats Balranald.
Ben Arentz and Toby Gilmore will have a tough time trying to stop Brett Collins and Harrison Keely from dominating in the home team's forward 50, with the pair combining for 41 goals so far this season.
Rhys Bradley and Sam Dehne will control play in the middle of the ground for the hosts, with Danny Main and Gareth Grant being Gleeson's best options to try and turn the match the Saints' way.
Meanwhile, Adam Tipungwuti and Thomas Matarazzo could be dangerous for Tooleybuc/Manangatang if the pair are given space in the Saints' forward line – something Keiran Treacy and Mason Fehring will need to be mindful of.
Tooleybuc/Manangatang won by 57 points when the teams last met in round nine last year. A similar margin could occur tomorrow, but in the Kangas' favour.
PREDICTION: The Cohuna Kangas will win by 40 points.
