REIGNING Northern District Cricket Association premiers, Leitchville-Gunbower took the direct route to another grand final with a qualifying final victory over Cohuna United.

United had beaten the combine three times this season, but Leitchville-Gunbower won when it mattered, outscoring their opponents by 53 runs.

Nondescripts will meet Leitchville-Gunbower in the grand final next weekend after beating United in the preliminary final on Sunday.

Jason Lunghusen top scored in the qualifying final with 40, well supported by opener Jones with 38 and five other batsmen in double figures at the close of their innings.

Cohuna United was bowled out for 142, with B.J. Griffiths top-scoring with 27.

Todd Gelletly was the destroyer with 4/24 off just 6.3 overs.

Nondescripts outscored Wandella by just four runs in the elimination final, then earned its grand final spot a day later with an impressive 58-run preliminary final win. Three wickets were lost on the way to 206, with opener Novoselek grafting 105 runs.

Wandella outed Leitchville-Gunbower in the B grade elimination final and Nondescripts downed Barham-Koondrook to earn a passage to the grand final.

Their opponent will be Wandella after a big win over the border side.
