Loddon dominates school swimming

LODDON house dominated the pool to take out back-to-back Kerang Technical High School swimming sports.

The Loddon students tore through the water in a dominant performance, winning by more than 100 points.

Final scores were Loddon 297, Pyramid 191, Wandella 153 and Murray 150.

Age-group placings were shared among the houses.

Junior girls' champion was Jasmine Bortolotto [Murray], 20 points, followed by Hannah Gardiner [Loddon] 19 and Shamana Bacon [Murray] and Ruby O'Brien equal third with nine.

Tyler Meehan [Loddon] was the junior boys' champion with 19 points, followed by Cody Makeham [Pyramid], 18 and Nathan Boysen [Wandella] 17.

Intermediate girls' champion was Laura Thomas [Loddon] with 20 points, second was Bree Cordina [Pyramid] 18 and Kate Hall [Loddon] 12.

Toby Whinfield [Loddon] won intermediate boys' honours with 20, second was Jack Whorwood [Loddon] 14 and third Cory Walters [Wandella] nine.

The senior girls' championship was shared between Demby Makeham [Pyramid] and Emily Bortolotto [Murray] with 20 points each, followed by Emily Copland [Loddon] and Hannah Spencer [Pyramid] on 12 points.

Thomas Meehan [Loddon] won the senior boys' championship with 20 points, followed by Ethan McKnight [Loddon] 14 and Jack Powell [Murray] 12.
