CANDIDATES running for the seat of Mallee in the May 18 federal election will take part in a forum in Swan Hill on Monday night presented by the Gannawarra Times and The Guardian newspapers.
Nine of the 13 candidates appeared in a Mildura version of the event last Monday, at which water issues and the Murray-Darling Basin Plan were the hot topics.
Health services, the National Disability Insurance Scheme, infrastructure, the Mildura Base Hospital and rail services were also discussed.
The forum at the Swan Hill Town Hall, located in McCallum Street, will give each candidate five minutes to address the audience, with their presentations followed by a 30 to 45-minute question and answer session.
The candidates for Mallee (in the order they appear on the ballot paper) are:

Anne Webster, The Nationals;

Ray Kingston, Independent;
Dan Straub, Shooters, Fishers and Farmers;
Rick Millar, United Australia Party;
Nicole Rowan, The Greens.
The forum will run from 6.30pm to 8pm, with doors open to the public at 5.45pm.
