Kangas are fresh

COHUNA Kangas are fresh off the Central Murray Football Netball League bye and will be looking to climb from fifth on the ladder against a third-placed Tooleybuc-Manangatang outfit which has been up and down the past few weeks.

The Saints have plenty of talent in their line-up with a wealth of recruits from Darwin across the board mixed in with star midfielder Brodie Hodson and the versatile Alex Erlandson.

Home surrounds will be an advantage for the Saints.

The only issue has been the ability for them to all gel together, whereas a youthful Kangas outfit are performing strongly despite a loss in the last game before the bye.

Liam Holt-Fitz is also an excitement machine up front, while Tom Hughes is performing well in the engine room alongside Scott Beattie and Tom Toma in the Kangas midfield.

Mason Fehring is a premium defender and youngster Will Thrum is impressing between the flanks, but the addition of full forward Dylan Johnstone is a huge asset the Kangas lacked last year.

If Cohuna can give Johnstone enough opportunities, the Saints will struggle to claim victory.

Last time they met: Cohuna Kangas 17.9 (111) defeated Tooleybuc-Manangatang 9.10 (64) at Tooleybuc (Round 3, 2018).
