SINGER Gavin Chatelier brings his 'Love Songs and Gospel Favorites' to Cohuna this Saturday and Sunday.
He'll capture the essence of performers as wide ranging as Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, Michael Buble, Kenny Rogers, Kris Kristofferson and Tom Jones.
That's just a selection of what will be on offer, with Mr Chatelier set to perform twice on Saturday, and again on Sunday morning.
Each show offers something different, opening with a Saturday combined churches men's breakfast, followed by a Saturday evening concert.
Mr Chatelier will also address the men's breakfast.
Men's breakfasts are held every second month, with local John Webb the main driving force behind them.
Mr Chatelier is a strong advocate of people connecting with each other, something the breakfasts encourage men to do.
The performer believes music fosters a spirit of fellowship.
Following his Saturday night show, the tireless entertainer brings his energy to a Sunday morning gospel service.
As well as his love of gospel singing and the connection he has to it through performing the works of artists such as Elvis, Mr Chatelier is a religious person.
He will combine singing and preaching at the Sunday service, but says he won't be getting bogged down in theology, so believes he will appeal to all regardless of their religious sentiments.
Mr Chatelier gives in excess of 150 shows a year and has been performing for 25 years.
Proving he has lost none of his sparkle, nor his velvet voice, it was his shows at last year's Parkes Elvis Festival that earned him an invitation to perform in Cohuna.
He caught the eye of a couple of Cohuna music identities who have organised his appearances in the town.
Geoff Thompson and wife Betty have a long association with the music scene there.
