THE 18 carat gold Melbourne Cup will be on show in Gunbower and Swan Hill later this year as part of its annual tour to 36 destinations.

The Victoria Racing Club announced the destinations at a launch last week at Flemington Racecourse.

The cup will be at Gunbower on Thursday, August 28, and Swan Hill the following day.
