GANNAWARRA's new Veteran Assistance Centre was officially opened following the Remembrance Day service in Kerang on Monday.

Around 40 people attended the opening, held outside the RSL in Nolan Street, where the centre will have its headquarters.

Among attendees was Gannawarra Shire mayor Lorraine Learmonth, who spoke about her family's service experience and gave the enterprise her blessing.
