A person who played golf at Murray Downs Golf and Country Club has tested positive to COVID-19.

The person played at the NSW course on July 4 and 5.

“Full contact tracing details were provided immediately to the Department of Health and Human Services and a deep clean completed,” club CEO Greg Roberts said.

“Both Victorian and New South Wales health authorities have stated the club can remain open and to continue with maintaining our CovidSafe practices.

“As a club, we were prepared for the possibility of a positive case. We have our CovidSafe plan in place with all staff having completed appropriate COVID-19 training and we are continually conducting our cleaning practices.
