HAY have drawn first blood in their ongoing rivalry with leading Golden Rivers contenders Ultima, with the Lions avenging last year’s grand final loss with a 41-point win over the Roos on Saturday.

The win sees the Lions move to outright first on the Golden Rivers ladder with three wins from the first three rounds.
