LEITCHVILLE held its traditional evening Australia Day ceremony, with Australia Day Ambassador Dr Peter Langkamp the speaker.

That followed on from Dr Langkamp's morning appearance at Quambatook's Australia Day ceremony.

At Leitchville, local George Keath was honoured with a Community Award, presented by Gannawarra Shire Mayor Lorraine Learmonth.

He was chosen by the Leitchville Lions Club.
