THE number of people wanting to surrender their cats and kittens this festive season has been "horrendous", says Jeanie Schmidt, owner of Jeanie's Kitty Krib.

Ms Schmidt said that from Wednesday to Friday alone, she had been asked to take 30 to 35 cats and kittens.
