Agriculture Victorias Primary Producer Flood Recovery grants program extension

LANDHOLDERS impacted by last year's floods now have longer to apply for financial support.

People have until Thursday, July 13, to apply for support via Agriculture Victoria’s Primary Producer Flood Recovery grants program.

The program, managed by Rural Finance on behalf of Agriculture Victoria, provides primary producers and small businesses with financial assistance to support relief and recovery efforts.

Gannawarra Shire Council chief executive Geoff Rollinson said council’s Community Flood Committee identified that the initial deadline of April 30 was "causing anxiety for residents as it did not provide adequate time to fully assess how the floods have impacted their properties and gather the relevant information required to apply for assistance".

"Council was pleased to advocate for the deadline extension, meaning residents now have extra time to submit an application for support," he said.
