The inaugural Lake Meran Festival will be held on February 18, celebrating the lake, abundant fish, and more significantly, fresh water turtle species that call the lake home.

Lake Meran, a short 20 minute drive south west of Kerang, has managed to defy the trend of many waterways with a thriving population of several breeds of fresh water turtles.
