A SECOND council has withdrawn from a five-council alliance formed to collectively advocate to State Government on issues including transmission lines, renewable energy and mining.

Yarriambiack Shire met on Wednesday to deliberate on the benefits of the council remaining in the alliance, which now comprises Buloke, Loddon and Gannawarra shires.
