A PIECE of local history has been lost, with the Horfield Uniting Church relocated to Lancefield.

The church on Leitchville-Kerang Road was sold to the Lancefield cemetery trust, seven years after its final service was held.

With part of its roof removed, it has been de-stumped and transported to its new home, 188km south. It will be used as a chapel at the cemetery.
