DESPITE fowl weather keeping organisers nervous until the last minute, the Kerang Poultry Show and Auction drew its largest crowd in recent history and hefty prices for some of the state's best birds.

Around 500 people flocked to the event over the King's Birthday long weekend, with people travelling from as far as Hamilton in the south and Wentworth in the east for the day.
