DAN Stubbs smiles and says he was "fairly possessed" when building a small, handmade replica of a 1950s Victorian B class locomotive.

"I'd get over every morning at 4am and work on it until the alarm went off and I'd go home and get ready for the day," he said.

"It took me about two years to build it, but I was fairly possessed - I was doing mega hours."
