STEPPING up its fight against flu, the state government is now making the influenza vaccination compulsory for front-line staff in hospital wards.

The Labor Government already makes the flu shot free for healthcare workers, however new rules will see high-risk areas such as Intensive Care Units, Neonatal Intensive Care Units and cancer wards all become areas where staff must be vaccinated.
