VOCAL trio Amitie entertained the crowd with old style songs as the Big Cohuna Festival got underway on Friday.

The Civic Centre lawn filled quickly with families, friends and food trucks.

Coordinator Jodie Hay, together with Progress Association president Jason Hensley, officially opened the festival at around 7pm.
