SIX individuals and groups were honoured by the Murray River Council with Australia Day Awards this year, among them Barham residents Colin Barnes, who was named Citizen of the Year, and Matilda Hollins, who is Young Citizen of the Year.

Also recognised was Barham's live music festival River Daze 2019, which received the award for Community Event of the Year.
