Black lives remembered

WHILE Saturday's Black Lives Matter protests around Australia have sparked anger among many people due to the health risks associated with the crowds, some in the community have a more personal perspective on the issue.

The demonstrations arose following mass protests in the US over the police killing of African American man George Floyd, with Australian organisers saying they want reform of the policing and justice systems which have seen high rates of imprisonment and deaths in custody of Aboriginal people.
