AN owl, a magpie, a kingfisher and a cockatoo are among the birds being created in art class by students at Murrabit Group School.

The avian sculptures are being fashioned from recycled materials and Modroc.

While the younger years had a free choice of birds, the grade three and four students were asked to choose a native species.
