Children responsible for two house fires
TWO house fires started by small children in Cohuna last week have demonstrated a need for more fire education, firefighters said.

A blaze in King Edward Street, that started just before 2pm on Thursday, and another in Cullen Street, that ignited at around 11.30am on Saturday, were both started by children under five who were playing with "ignition sources", Cohuna Fire Brigade captain Matt Trigg said.

Both houses were saved but had extensive smoke-damage.
