PUBLICAN Shane Membrey was pouring last drinks for a while at the Koondrook Mates Hotel on Wednesday night.

He and wife Susan Miller-Membrey closed their bar and dining room following the reintroduction of state 3 restrictions for regional Victoria as COVID-19 case numbers and fatalities continued to rise.

The restrictions are due to be in place until September 13.
