A NEW CFA tanker will soon arrive in Cohuna to help firefighters continue attending road accidents.

Victoria Police identified the Gunbower area - between Leitchville and Echuca - a black spot in 1997.

It took rescue agencies "excessive time" to attend, so police approached the Cohuna Fire Brigade to become more involved in rescues.
