A SOLAR micro grid proposed on land at the Kerang airport is a cutting edge project that will increase the reliability of power in the shire, contribute to overall grid stability and earn money for the council, its proponents say.

The proposal, which Gannawarra Shire Council is currently seeking feedback on, is a joint initiative of power company KIG Energy and Swinburne University.
