A HEAVY police presence in the Gannawarra district was the key to ensuring local drivers arrived home safely during the first ever National Day of Action, held on Tuesday, August 27.

Across the Western Region Division 6, which includes the Gannawarra, Swan Hill and Buloke shires, 673 preliminary breath tests were delivered on the day with 35 offences detected on the roads.
