DR Bruce Sokel has been straightening teeth in Kerang since 1995.

On Friday he had his last appointment as visiting orthodontist at the Kerang Dental Clinic, from where he serviced a vast regional area over that time.

"It's a bit sad," Dr Sokel said.

"I've made a lot of friends and treated a lot of families here, in Swan Hill, in Barham, NSW and as far away as Hay."

However, retirement beckone...
