Flying the flag in quiet remembrance of end of World War II

IN low-key 2020 fashion, Kerang & District RSL sub-branch president Robert Hampton marked 75 years since the official end of World War II, raising the RSL and Australian flags and placing a wreath at the town's cenotaph on Saturday morning. 

The quiet observance made it difficult to envisage the wild Victory in the Pacific Day celebrations in August 1945, when the peal of Kerang's church bells and the wail of the fire brigade's siren
