AN electrical fire caused extensive heat and smoke damage to a house in Kerang on Friday night but was quickly extinguished when firefighters arrived.

Kerang and Cohuna units were called to the Cleeland Place address after neighbours smelt smoke and saw it rising from the house at around 9.45pm.
