THERE were high spirits and plenty of stories when Cohuna Fire Brigade held its annual dinner and awards night last Friday.

Seven members received medals in recognition of a combined 230 years of service at the event.

Among them was Geoffrey McGraw, with 70 years, and William Frantz, with 60 years membership of the brigade.
