MURRABIT farmer Andrew Leahy has been appointed Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) water council chair.

The dairy farmers replaces Richard Anderson.

VFF policy council chair and president Emma Germano congratulated Mr Leahy and thanked Mr Anderson for his "tireless" efforts in the water debate.
