FIREFIGHTERS and police were called to a unit in Kerang on Saturday afternoon when neighbours became concerned about smoke coming from the premises.

Two Kerang brigade trucks attended the Murray Street address, and extinguished a fire in a resident's yard. Police said no offence had been committed.
