A GAS leak in the Kerang CBD on Wednesday afternoon that had devastating potential was easily addressed, according to the Kerang Fire Brigade.

Firefighters were called to the rear of a takeaway food shop on Wellington Street at around 1.45pm on Wednesday, where gas was leaking from a large domestic gas bottle.
