COHUNA'S Andrew Gibbs intends to take up the available position as a Gannawarra Shire councillor for Yarran Ward which was left vacant by the resignation of Sonia Wright.

He was named as the "candidate who would be declared elected" following a countback yesterday morning at the Kerang council chambers.
