RESIDENTS are encouraged to "uncover something new" as part of the Gannawarra Library Service's Library Lovers Day this Friday.

The service will join hundreds of libraries nationally as part of the annual event, which is organised by the Australian Library and Information Association.

Gannawarra Shire mayor Cr Lorraine Learmonth described the day as a chance for branches to show off their facilities and for people to show their love for their local library.
