STUDENTS were buzzing to compete in The Rotary Club of Kerang's 22nd annual spelling bee last month, with eight different district primary schools getting involved.
Roughly 36 participants wowed the crowd with their vocabulary skills, having to correctly write down nine different words before making it to the oral round of the competition.
Rotary Club of Kerang president Gerardine Prendergast said the spelling bee was a great way to have fun and encourage literacy within school students.
