Acting director of clinical services at Kerang District Health, Sue Gray, is anticipating a long hot summer and urges members of the community to look after themselves over the festive season.

"Heat kills more Australians than any natural disaster," Ms Gray said, noting older people, children and those with a medical condition were most susceptible to suffering heat-related problems.
