A RUMOUR that the Terry White Chemmart in Kerang was forced to close for a deep clean last week due to someone from the Mitchell Shire visiting was untrue, chemist staff said.
Retail manager Aimee Sinclair said there was no substance to the story.
"Nothing of the sort has happened," Ms Sinclair said.
"It's just a rumour getting around that we're trying to squash."
Another story that circulated last week concerned Northaven aged care home.
Some people suggested there had been two positive coronavirus cases at the home - a report which manager Jeecinta Lightbody emphatically denied.
