CAR VERSUS COWS

THREE cows were killed when they were hit by a car on the Murray Valley Highway last Friday night.

Police and firefighters were called to the location, near the corner of Phillips Rd in Kerang East at around 7.20pm on Friday.

No-one, apart from the animals, was injured in the incident, however the car was written off.

REEDY LAKE THEFT

BETWEEN 6am and 3pm last Wednesday a water monitoring device was removed in the Reedy Lake area.

CIGARETTES STOLEN

THREE men allegedly stole cigarettes and confectionery from a service station in Cohuna after arriving there in a stolen car and forcing entry to the building last Wednesday. Police are seeking any information on the incident, which occurred at approximately 2.40am.

Police said the men were travelling in a white Nissan Navarra four wheel drive which had been stolen from the local area.

METH ARREST

A WOMAN was arrested in Kerang last Thursday after police were called to a public place to check on a suspicious person at approximately 8.45am. The woman was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of methylamphetamine and was remanded in custody.

FENCE HOLE

SOMETIME between January 1 and last Wednesday unknown offenders cut a hole in the perimeter security fence of the solar farm on the Kerang Lalbert Road at Wandella.

SANDMAN STOLEN

AN incomplete rare vehicle (Holden Sandman) was stolen from a paddock along McKenzie Road, in the Kerang area sometime around June 21. Police are following up leads.

CHAINSAW THEFT

A HUSQVARNA chainsaw was removed from the rear tray of a parked vehicle in the driveway of a Kerang house on the evening of June 20.

DRUG CHARGES

A MAN was arrested in the Kerang area on May 27 and charged with stealing from a motor vehicle and drug possession.

The alleged offender was charged and bailed.

PROPERTY DAMAGE CHARGE

A MALE offender was charged in relation to criminal damage to a property in Kerang which occurred on May 19.

OLD TRAILER TAKEN

A RUSTY trailer with no floor went missing from the front of the Murrabit Men's Shed sometime last weekend.

Anyone with information about its whereabouts is asked to contact Swan Hill or Kerang Police or the Murrabit Men's Shed.
