MEMBER for Northern Victoria Rikkie-Lee Tyrrell wants a driver-education program in all Victorian secondary schools to help curb the horror road toll.
Mrs Tyrrell said she wanted basic driver-safety skills and basic vehicle-maintenance programs made available to all students in Years 10 to 12, to better prepare them for when they get their licence.
Speaking this week in State Parliament, the One Nation MP highlighted the increase in road fatalities last year, including the death of 60 people aged between 16 and 25.
