POWER was knocked out around Kerang for over two hours from around 12.30pm last Friday when a car hit a power pole on Lilac Avenue, bringing down a high voltage line.

The wooden power pole which was apparently insect-eaten or rotted, fell to the ground.

The driver didn't stop to report the incident.
