Promise to wildlife

FIRST Kerang Cub Scouts were again getting active for a good cause last week, making boxes and stands for the care of animals injured in Victoria's bushfires.

Leader Carmel Tyers said the boxes, which are fitted with a kind of "sleeping bag", are for injured and baby possums while the stands are used for baby kangaroos.

"The baby kangaroos hop in and out of them," she said.
