THE AFLW season kicks off tonight and past Kerang Blues player Alana Woodward is gearing up for her first season wearing yellow and black.

The 29-year-old is joined by numerous first-year players as part of Richmond's inaugural AFLW team, but Woodward already feels like they've known each other for years.
