WITH Bendigo Pioneers' season opener looming on March 21, Cohuna's Josh Treacy doesn't have long to wait for his first official match as the side's co-captain.

Treacy will share the role with good friend Jack Evans, of Echuca, and spoke about the significance of the opportunity presented to him by the coaching staff.
